Owner/Instructor/Balanced Body Faculty
From a young age I was intrigued by health and the human body. After certifying and teaching group fitness classes, personal training with the American Council on Exercise, and nutrition coaching with APEX I found a deeper passion in Pilates. Pilates offered something I hadn't found in any other fitness modalities.
I shifted my focus more towards the Pilates work and over the next eight years studio certified with Polestar Pilates and eventually Master Trained and became a Faculty member with Balanced Body. This training has allowed me to work with a wide range of clients from elite athletes to those with chronic pain. After years of teaching it still excites me to see the dramatic effect Pilates has both aesthetically as well as improving quality of life!
I now share my love of movement teaching clients and instructors to move and teach with passion and creativity. I am the owner of Purely Pilates Studio in Reno, Nevada and together with my staff of instructors have created a studio that is safe, welcoming, and that strives to maintain the highest standards in the Pilates field.
When I'm not at the studio I enjoy spending time with my husband and three kids. I have a passion for life and Pilates and look forward to sharing that with others!
Instructor/Balanced Body Faculty
At the young age of 13-years old, during her pre-professional ballet career, Taylor developed her love for Pilates while undergoing rehabilitation for dance injuries.
Graduating from the Core Dynamics Teacher Training Program in 2005, Taylor received her 500- hour comprehensive certification. In September 2012, Taylor also received her Pilates Method Alliance certificate, becoming a PMA® Certified Pilates Teacher.Through her with years with her mentors, Taylor refined her skills from extensive training and developed her love for teaching Pilates teachers.
Taylor is humbled as she takes on an On-Site Faculty position with Balanced Body's education program. Taylor has completed her faculty training for Balanced Body's Comprehensive training, Bodhi Pilates Suspension System, and Balanced Body Barre. She is honored to be apart of the Balanced Body family.
Taylor opened her studio- InnerPeace Pilates in West Dundee, Illinois - at the age of 19 years old and after successfully running the studio for 8 years, Taylor has relocated to Lake Tahoe, Nevada with her husband, Michael.
In her free time Taylor enjoys traveling the world with Michael and also with her business- InnerPeace Retreats. She loves yoga, meditation, and anything outside that allows her to connect with nature. Taylor is grateful to have the opportunity to work with the talented people at Purely Pilates and cannot wait to share her passion of Pilates with each and every one of you.
Born and raised in Reno Nevada my passion for health and fitness started from an early age. Throughout school I played various sports including softball, basketball, volleyball and running. In 2005 I set out and accomplished the Rock-n-Roll Marathon in San Diego, CA. I am always looking for new ways to challenge my body, and started taking Pilates after the birth of my son Tyler in 2005 I was instantly hooked. In 2008 while pregnant with my second child Reagan, I decided to go through the instructor training so I could share my love for Pilates with others. . I love how my practice makes me feel, and am excited to have the opportunity to share this feeling with others through teaching.
